Exploring Capacity
Between Masculine and Feminine energies
The terms masculine and feminine have become buzzwords practically everywhere now, but let’s set that aside for a bit and map out what is actually going on.
Note that I am speaking of energy, not gender.
It is also true that we all have both these energies within us. We can consciously and subconsciously lead with one or both energies.
I will use the language of he/she in this piece, but only you will know which side of the polarity you are more dominant in.
So…what does this feedback loop look like?
Let’s start with the feminine energy…for the purposes of this article, this is the energy of the higher chakras…she is connected to the otherworldly and divine. Her body has a portal….she births not just babies but whole energy fields.
She is a natural alchemist…she takes what is given to her and multiplies it. We’ve all heard this…
The masculine to me is the energy of the lower chakras…(again, just for the purposes of this article, of course we all have and access all the chakras, just like we do the masculine and feminine) the grounding force that takes the concepts and energy fields (potential) from the feminine and grounds them into reality.
And they meet in the heart.
When a masculine and feminine meet…and they have high potential…I call this a soul recognition. That does NOT mean they are destined to be together. It doesn’t mean soul mate…it simply means there is a deep recognition.
He initiates the conversation…the connection…feels her energy and decides to take action towards it. This is him fully in his masculine. It’s penetrating. He enters her world by DMing her or going up to her out in public. It’s grounded…it's action-led, and his presence is the “seed” she needs to create.
With it…this presence energy he is giving her with his attention and direction…it moves through her and becomes an energetic field of potential. The more he acts, shares, and leads, the bigger the field of potential becomes, and the more pull and magnetism grow. It is not passive for her to hold this potential… it's an act of strength and restraint. To hold pure potential and not shape it or dilute it with your own longings or projections is a skill indeed.
What do they do with this beautiful potential? This is the masculine’s growth edge. He is the one who grounds it…so he is the one who takes the risk of deciding it’s direction. Does it move it into romance and ground it by dating her, meeting her in person..expanding that energy into the relational reality between them?
He could also channel it into a project…a co-creation of a body of work, such as a book or invention.
Or he can become overwhelmed with the growth edge and simply back away and go back to his life.
Because it is simply…potential.
Where we all fuck it up
In my observations, modern women today have developed a bad-ass inner masculine. We are not afraid of risk, of taking action, and getting things done.
This is great and lovely, but it also means we’re not living in our magnetic, natural way of being!
When (men or women) we focus on go-go-go, get-it-done energy, and don’t pause to simply enjoy life, beauty, and receive…we become burnt out and stressed and a whole slew of things.
Another area we ALL fuck it up with is rushing into relationships. The energetic high from soul recognition is potent and real and alive. It is easy to become swept up in and assume it means romance or confirmed compatibility.
The high is designed to get our attention and to be enjoyed!!
It is not to be forced or projected upon.
All it signals to us is that there is high potential here for something more. The feminine’s role is to birth that potential and hold it without using her own masculine energy to shape it.
The masculine role is to discern what to do with the potential. What is his growth edge with it, and what is he willing to do about it?
His decision shouldn’t be rushed. He needs to rest in his inner feminine energy and receive what it is he is being asked to do with the potential. Once that answer arrives for him internally, his growth is to take action.
What happens once he takes action?
Once he gives the potential a direction…it begins to take shape…manifest into reality. If it’s romance, he begins to learn more about the feminine and sense for capacity and, when ready, takes action to ground the relationship into reality.
When he does do that…his energy continues to penetrate her…and she, in turn, alchemizes it and expands and grows not only in herself but grows the relational energy between them.
He will grow as a person because of her…learning and stretching his own capacity and expanding. His work will be blessed…his life will feel energized and full…and he will be sexually, emotionally, and spiritually satisfied.
He will have the blessing of her beauty, of seeing how his presence unlocks her, experiencing her craving and devotion to him. He will unleash her feral side, see and cherish her inner child, and delight in her full expression.
But it can only occur if he chooses it.
It can’t come from the feminine’s inner masculine.
When the pair is in this positive loop together, they grow together, expand, and build together. This is the true power couple.
The loop continues…he leads with grounded presence…she leads energetically… the dance becomes an active spiral, enriching both of their lives.
The Inner Positive Loop
Each of us has this same loop within us, in how our own masculine and feminine energies work together.
We are in our feminine when we wait and receive wisdom or direction. This can come from anywhere, both outside of us and arise within us.
In 2019, I read something about being a digital nomad. I needed a job I could do from home due to having just had surgery. This was me receiving a signal outside of myself and lighting up with it–feminine energy in action!
I began asking friends about online jobs, and had a friend connect me with a friend of theirs who taught English as a second language online to children in China.
I took action (masculine energy) and got my ESL certification, applied to be a teacher, and got hired.
I began saving up…researching…waiting for which direction I should travel to. (feminine energy waiting to receive)
I felt a pull to go to South America and made the decision to start there. I began researching different cities and countries and created a plan for myself. (Masculine energy)
On Dec 31, 2019, I was on a plane to Mexico City, beginning a new chapter of my life…One I created with a positive feedback loop between my own masculine and feminine.
This is co-creation with the Divine… the Universe…with God. We receive the spark, the idea, the truth that lights us up, and receive it (feminine) and ground it into this reality (masculine).
Odds are, you have your own version of this story. Hopefully more than one! ;)
So…why does it seem so hard to do this with another? Once you’ve mastered how to do it within?
Because it requires letting go of control.
For me as a woman…this means not taking action when I can. Not traveling across an ocean just because it doesn’t scare me. That’s my capacity…not the others.
What is the most honoring? Of ourselves and the other?
For both, it will always live on our growth edges.
The masculine will have to rise up and take action, risk…surrender to the unknown of whether she will choose him back. It’s his version of standing in the fire…to see what he’s “made of.”
For the feminine, it is the edge of staying in her magnetic power…holding the potential and not influencing it, but honoring its purity. Her own longing for connection has to be put aside, and give the masculine the space and time he needs to come towards her.
If she doesn’t want to wait forever for him…which odds are she doesn’t…it’s simply showing a capacity mismatch.
We desire to be MET.
So we must give space to see who actually MEETS us where we are.
We (feminines) do a death and rebirth cycle every 28 days…the masculine does not. But this is his cosmic cycle…a dance he enters with the feminine so the two grow and expand together.
Astronaut of Life is a place for explorers of life, both inward and outward. Exploring who we are and how to live life embodied in love, security, and wisdom.
To me, an astronaut is more than just someone who goes into space. It is a symbol for exploration of the unknown. There is bravery, risk, and wonder there.
Is this not how we should view life??
This is my approach to life. As an avid traveler, both on Earth and in the other dimensions, I find life full of wonder.

I can't entirely agree with the traditional feminine and masculine roles (I don't identify as a feminist, it just doesn't seem to be intuitively right 100 percent of the time), although this is probably the ideal for the majority of people. I do agree here though: "For both, it will always live on our growth edges." I guess whatever role feels most aligned, exciting and joyful is the one we're meant to be taking at any given time - and I see no reason why the masculine and feminine can't take turns as part of the dance.
The deepest lesson here for me is surrender. We must know when to receive, when to act, and when to leave space for another person to reveal their true capacity. What is meant for us does not need to be chased, controlled, or forced into form. We deserve to be met freely and fully.
When the energies within us move in harmony—when divine guidance meets grounded action—we become co-creators with God. We receive the spark, honor its timing, and then possess the courage to bring it into reality. Beautifully express My Friend!! 🙏✨
