Writing With AI
Are any hands clean?
I want to start this off by saying that this is an exploration.
I’m writing this and having to pause my paid work to get it down. I’m in the middle of scheduling out notes on a Substack account for one of my clients who has over 11K followers on here.
These notes were written by AI.
Before doing that task, I was doing social media for another client and made an Instagram post and note for X…again…all written by AI.
The info in all of it is great.
It’s catchy. It’s on point.
What I love is playing the paradox of it all.
As a dyslexic…I rely heavily on Grammarly to help me with spelling and punctuation…and have for over ten years.
I had Claude write out six blog posts for my website about portal dates and info about new and full moons.
I also noticed within myself that I felt completely comfortable using AI copy for Instagram and X…but for Substack…my dear dear Substack…
Some say the internet is dead.
It makes me think of our oceans…with all the plastic in them…the plastic floating island and all the microplastics…
I think that’s a good analogy to the internet nowadays. We’re fish just doing our thing, but we are now swimming in polluted waters.
Obviously, this topic comes down to personal preference.
I actually enjoy talking to AI and love how it can help with brainstorming. My personal take, though, is to write my own stuff in my own words. (with Grammarly’s help, of course)
Oh, I know I could make it better if I ran it through AI and had it polish it up. I’ve tried it and FOR ME…it didn’t feel authentic.
But we ALL make these little concessions. Feel correct in our use of and relationship with AI.
It gets muddy, though, when we project that onto others. (and by golly, this is true for SO many things in life) When we judge them for how they do something in a different way than we feel comfortable with.
I don’t mind reading something written by AI…and that’s a me thing, and there is nothing wrong if that’s not a you thing…
Because even behind those AI words is a person who simply wants to share an idea/thought/story.
And that person…to me…is worth hearing out.
But Joy…what about that AI slop on Facebook and all the random videos and junk that clogs social media???
Why geezee…I’m glad you asked.
Well, it’s the plastic in the ocean! And yes…it’s getting harder and harder to discern what’s real and what isn’t.
When you are in touch with sensing energy…having that ability to discern what’s behind something…which we all have…it simply becomes noise.
I’ve lived through many changes in our culture as an older millennial. I didn’t get a cell phone until college. Wifi came out a few years later…all the rage…smartphones a few years after that. I joined Facebook a year after it was invented.
Perhaps this is not the same. Perhaps this will reshape humanity in ways we can’t foresee. Perhaps it will all blow over.
I don’t know…but I do know the ability to discern what is truth and what isn’t will only serve us.
Astronaut of Life
Astronaut of Life is a place for explorers of life, both inward and outward. Exploring who we are and how to live life embodied in love, security, and wisdom.
To me, an astronaut is more than just someone who goes into space. It is a symbol for exploration of the unknown. There is bravery there, risk, and wonder.
Is this not how we should view life??
This is my approach to life. As an avid traveler, both on Earth and in the other dimensions, I find life full of wonder.
Go inward to explore.

I have a mixed feeling about the use of AI. All the words I write are 💯 authentically mine. I might use an image created with AI on occasion, but that's where I draw the line.
I appreciate everything you wrote and value your thoughts. I just can't imagine ever having AI write something that's deeply personal for me, and that's like 99% of what I write.
AI cannot replicate what's in my heart. I can't speak for everyone, but I will never use it my writing.
Joy to the world 😉
